Tiles Selection - Di Lorenzo

Our visit to Di Lorenzo...on 18 March 2013

We went to Di lorenzo today to select our tiles for Bathrooms, Floors and splashback...

We were told that anything with a yellow sticker is standard for us and Builders Allowance was $33 per square meter.  I chose the Wet Areas tiles within the standard range that Metricon allows.

We decided to keep the floor and wall tiles to Ensuite, Powder Room and Main Bathroom same colour and feature tile different. This bathroom whilst it is the smallest in the house is costing us the most. The main cost is a floor to ceiling wall of Italian mosaic tiles

The wall tiles are Versa254 Gloss 250x400 ceramic tiles laid vertically and upgraded the grout colour to match the wall tiles. The grout will be Mocha.

The bath is going to be tiled up the side with the same wall tile and then have two rows of feature tile round the edge and a silver metalic trim. There's going to be vertical strips in the middle of showers and face, top and back of bath and through back of niche and between vanity and mirror layed vertially.

Feature for Ensuite - MSR 160 Multi Brown 19x61
Feature for Main Bath - SASA2 235x100

Feature for Powder Room - ARC064 Mocha Glass Crackle 15x49

Floor Tiles for Wet Areas - DC2201 450x450
Laundry - I chose Langmo Gloss Mocha 100x300 from the builders range. The wall tiles will be layed Horizontal.

Langmo Gloss Mocha 100x300

Balcony & Alfresco Tiles 305x305
Wet Areas Wall Tiles - Versa254 Gloss 250x400
Main Floor Tiles:

We wanted porcelain tiles to main floor. These 600 x 600mm porcelain tiles are $46.95 sqm supplied only and to lay polished porcelain tile greater than 450x450mm is $78.50 and grout is off white/Neutral.

We are going with Brown Coloured polished full bodied porcelain tile. These tiles will be laid in Entry, Foyer, Kitchen, Butlers Pantry, Laundry, Family, Dining, under stairs storage. With the Rumpus Room we decided to go with Laminate Floor Boards.

Main Floor Tiles - DC1811 Brown Polished Porcelain
And in the Entry, the tile will be laid as Diamond Half Border with a Border in White. I couldn't get a better picture than this.

Border to Entry - DC1833 White Polished Porcelain

Splashback:

For the Kitchen and Butlers Pantry Splashback we chose 600x600 Polished Porcelain Mocha Colour similar to the main floor tile and with same coloured grout. It will look like a glass splashback but will be about 1/4 the price of a glass splashback.
