Monday 24 June 2013: Painting Continues...

Well today was a bit of a surprise, the whole house has had its first coat of paint. The house looks so much brighter and cleaner now.

Our front door was stained today along with the stairs and Alfresco Bi-Fold Doors.

Week 24 - Tiling Completed

(03 June 2013 - 08 June 2013)

Monday 03 June 2013: Laundry/Ensuite Tiled 

Today the Laundry wall was tiled and grouted. And also the Ensuite wall tiles were grouted. The grout is the same as the tile colour.

Tuesday 04 June 2013: Powder/Main Bathroom Tiled 

Tiling to the wet areas are complete now. Bathrooms are looking good. Our neutral floors and walls look nice. 

The site supervisor called in today to give us the weekly update but still unable to tell us when we will receive the keys.

Wednesday 05 June 2013: Balcony/Alfresco Tiles 

The tilers completed the Balcony and Alfresco tiles today. We kept the same tiles to both.

Now that the tiling is completed, I think the next stage is painting. I am happy with the result and our choices.

Week 22 - Wet Area Tiles Delivered

Tuesday 21 May 2013: Laundry Benchtop & Sink In

Laundry Benchtop and sink were in. 

Overhead/Broom cupboards - Laminex Nocturne Oak
Under bench cupboards - Mushroom Linea
Benchtop - Laminex Cocoa Nougat.
Laundry Trough/Sink - Clark Flat line stainless steel 48 Litre (upgraded) single bowl. 

We are not happy with the benchtop, does not match the under bench cupboards.

Wednesday 22 May 2013: Rainy Day...Nothing Happened

We visited the house today and found water leaking in the Rumpus Room and Kitchen. We raised this with the SS and he assured us that this will be fixed. Good thing it rained continuously and the issue was highlighted.

Friday 24 June 2013: Cement & Tiles Delivered

We had the sand and cement delivered today for the Wet Area tile bases.

and the site was clear of rubbish...

and the wet area tiles were delivered today..

These are the tiles for our Balcony and Alfresco - very happy with the colours. It is very difficult to make our decision at the showroom during selections.

Hopefully the tiling will start next week.

Week 20 - Gyprock & Stairs In

Monday 06 May 2013: Gyprock Started today

Gyprock has started today and it would take a few days to complete. The house seem to be bigger with the Gyrprock installed. It's amazing the difference it makes to the place with plaster over the frame, being able to see all the rooms come together, taking shape.

Tuesday 07 May 2013: Gyprocked & Plastered

The Gyprockers about 7-8 of them were back today and have pretty much completed the walls and have started on the ceilings and smoothed out the joins between sheets.

Wednesday 08 May 2013: Plastering Continues & We have Stairs

We're guessing the next stage is to pull the electrical wires through. It took a few days between upstairs & down in putting the plaster up but all of the house has now been plastered. So too late now if we forgot anything like extra wiring or noggins etc.. 

We were very delighted to see our stairs delivered today.

Thursday 09 May 2013: Cornices Delivered

Lot of progress this week. Just within a day, cornice has been fully installed.

Week 17 - Garage/Alfresco Roof on

Monday 15 Apr 2013: Garage Roof Installed

I noticed some tradies working on the Garage Roof today and they did finish the Garage Roof.

Tuesday 16 Apr 2013: Gutters to the roof of Alfresco on

The Gutters and Fascia went on above the Alfresco and Rumpus Room.

Wednesday 17 Apr 2013: Alfresco Roof Installed

Today, our roof tiles were started on the Alfresco. One thing I'm a little worried about is why they didn't finish the Alfresco roof tiles today. Hope, they will complete the roof tomorrow. 

Thursday 18 Apr 2013: No Action

I was hoping that the Alfresco roof will be completed today, but nothing happened. Not sure why?

Friday 19 Apr 2013: No Action Again

I tried to call the SS today to find out why nothing's happening. But couldn't get hold of him. Finally made it after a few attempts. The SS told me that they are going to redo the Alfresco Roof again on Monday, due to some problem with the roof tiles. Not sure what the problem is. Hope everything goes good.
