Week 16 - Downpipes/Gutter to Garage are on

(08 Apr 2013 - 13 Apr 2013)

Monday 08 Apr 2013: Downpipes Installed

Our downpipes have been put on today and was expecting to see more work done but nothing happened except the downpipes. The downpipes will be painted in Colorbond Monument color.

Thursday 11 Apr 2013: Garage Gutter on

Today the gutters went up on the garage roof. I guess it won't be long before the roof goes on.

  1. Thanks for your comments on my Blog. I have added your blog to my Blog List.

We have chosen Coal for our tiles too - see our recent posts - and its good to see on your blog how the Coal tiles look like on a house.

For your house build, how many days from the day of your site start did Metricon access the stormwater pit? Were you required to spend any more money other than the road opening application fee? If yes, can you please share your insights? Cheers

I did not spend any except for the application fees. The stormwater pit was accessed after the land was levelled and before the slab was put on.

      Hope this helps.

  2. “Rome wasn't built in a day.” And though things seemed to be running too slow for you, I think you are having a good progress in the construction of your new house. By the way, downpipes and gutters are essential to keep the foundation intact, so it would be good if you kept them in good condition as well. Painting them is one way of doing it. Your new house is looking great. Congratulations! Allyson Ripple
